UAE Temporarily Suspends the Issuance of Residency Permits and Visas

UAE – The Government Temporarily Suspends the Issuance of Residency Permits and Restricts Entry Visas in Response to the COVID-19 Outbreak
Effective from 19 March 2020, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) government has introduced the following entry and immigration restrictions:

• All UAE residency permit holders, who are currently outside the UAE, are barred from the re-entry to the UAE for at least two weeks.
• Issuance of all types of visas, including employment and visas on arrival, has been suspended.
• Issuance of new work permits has been suspended, excluding employees working for Expo2020.
• UAE nationals are prohibited from traveling abroad.
